I’m so excited to finally welcome you to a dream that has been on my heart for a long time now — a space that truly reflects the kind of nursing care I feel deeply called to provide: Welcome to Ponderosa Functional Health Blog!

Starting Ponderosa Functional Health (PFH) has been on my heart for a long time.

Over the years, both personally and professionally, I kept coming back to the same thought: so many people are trying incredibly hard to feel better while also feeling overwhelmed, unsupported, dismissed, or completely exhausted by the process. Between navigating appointments, conflicting information, stress, chronic symptoms, hormones, motherhood, work, and everyday life, wellness can start to feel more confusing than empowering.

I know that feeling firsthand.

As a nurse, I’ve spent years caring for others through vulnerable and life-changing moments, but being on the patient side of things taught me something entirely different. It showed me how difficult it can be to advocate for yourself, how disconnected you can become from your body after long periods of stress or illness, and how deeply people simply want to feel heard, supported, and safe while navigating their health.

That’s a large part of why I created this space.

Ponderosa Functional Health was built from a desire to offer a more grounded, compassionate, and realistic approach to wellness — one that acknowledges real life and the fact that healing is rarely linear. I wanted to create a space where people could feel comfortable asking questions, slowing down, reconnecting with themselves, and approaching wellness without shame, pressure, or perfection.

I’m especially excited about the opportunity to work more closely one-on-one with people and help simplify things that can often feel overwhelming or isolating. Sometimes having support, guidance, encouragement, and someone willing to truly listen can make the path feel a little lighter.

My hope is that this space continues to grow into something that feels supportive, calming, and genuinely helpful for the people who find themselves here.

I’m so glad you’re here.
